Subject: Alamance Co - Cedarock Park Historical Farm Festival

 

 
We are planning to participate in the Cedarock Park Historical Farm Festival.
Burlington Checker Club will have a Checker booth with table & chairs playing checkers at the Festival as many others. All checker players are welcome to come by and play and help promote our great game. Mike Ross will be demonstrating his bee keeping skill at their booth but will drop by occasionally to help us.

From I-85 / 40
Take I-85/40 to Exit 145 (NC Highway 49)
Head south on Hwy. 49 for 7 miles
Turn left onto Friendship Patterson Mill Rd.
Turn left into Cedarock Park
Follow R. Dean Coleman Rd. to the end

From Highway 87 (including Pittsboro)
Turn west onto Southern High School Rd.
(just south of Graham)
Turn left onto Mt. Herman Creek Rd.
Take a right on
Friendship Patterson Mill Rd.
Turn right into
Cedarock Park
Follow R. Dean Coleman Rd.
to the end

The crown jewel of the Alamance Co. Recreation and Parks Department, Cedarock Park is set on 414 acres in the rolling Cane Mts. of Southern Alamance County. Nature trails wind through the Rock Creek stream valley (a tributary of the Haw River). The old farm house and mill dam can still be seen. There are horse and mountain bike trails, courts for basketball, volleyball and horseshoes and two disc golf courses. Cedarock Park Center is a fully furnished house with full kitchen, heating and air.
